Overview: This is an optional supplement in-person 4 session lab program that is limited to attendance by individuals who will enroll in/ or have completed our Phlebotomy Certification Program online class. This option may be chosen by individuals who choose NOT to meet the clinical requirements to qualify to take the phlebotomy certification exam by producing documented performance of venipunctures and skin (capillary) punctures at their place of employment. All 4 sessions must be completed to complete the program.
The lab sessions are all hands-on skill practice sessions focused on blood draw procedures (venipuncture and skin (capillary) puncture techniques). Attendees learn how to perform blood draw procedures under the guidance and supervision of our Certified Phlebotomy Instructor. Successful completion of this program meets the clinical requirement to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Phlebtomy Technician Certification Exam. In-Person Phlebotomy Lab Class Next classes scheduled: July 24th, 31st, August 7th, and 14th 2012 for a total of 4 classes required of 3 hours each - once a week in the evening from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM scheduled at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 Chapel Street, Stratford, Connecticut 06614.
You must be eligible to enroll in our online Phlebotomy Certification Class. Click on the online class link below for program requirements of the online program. To sign up for the Phlebotomy Lab Class waiting list contact us at customer_support@piccresource.com and include in the email: your name, best telephone number, to reach you, email address, and current profession. We will send you an initial confirmation that we received your request- and we will contact you with program dates when the next classes are scheduled.

Prerequisites: Current healthcare background, graduates (or soon to be graduates) in a profession in which phlebotomy is allowed (RN, LPN, MA, MT, GN, PA, MD, medical students, etc.). Questions? Email us at customer_support@piccresource.com
Applicants are notified via email of acceptance or denial of registration for the program, or if additional documentation is required.
NOTE: These In-Person Lab Class sessions are required for applicants that cannot provide proof of 25 venipunctures and 10 skin punctures to meet NHA National Phlebotomy Certification Exam requirements.
For applicants that can provide proof of 30 venipunctures (requirements increased form 25 by NHA as of 2012), and 10 skin punctures performed at their place of employment, attendance at the in-person lab class is optional- and does not have to be attended to meet requirements to sit for the NHA National Phlebotomy Certification Exam.
Lab class seating space is limited, early registration for this option is encouraged.
