Application for program.  Overview: Online accelerated full phlebotomy program covers phlebotomy blood specimen collection from the basics to advanced procedrures.  The program is designed for healthcare professionals, and it is designed to prepare the participant to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Phlebtomy Technician Certification Exam. The course is 68 hours total online; available 24/7.  The program can be completed in as few as 4 weeks, or attendees may take up to 4 months (120 days) to complete the program if needed. 

PICC Resource Associates, LLC Phlebotomy program has been approved by the NHA as a phlebotomy training site and to administer the NHA National Certification Examination for Phlebotomy Technician.  Upon successful completion of this program's requirements, the program attendee may take the NHA National Phlebotomy Technician Certification Examination adminstered at our office, or the exam can be taken at a PSI test center near the attendee's place of residence.  Click here to view PSI test center locations.

The Phlebotomy Certification Class can be completed entirely online if:

 1) The participant can provide documentation of 25 successful venipuncture and 10 skin puncture procedures (PICC Resource forms provided)

OR

2)  As an alternate option to #1 above: apply to add attendance at 4 sessions of our Phlebotomy In-Person Lab Class program held at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Stratford, Connecticut.  The Lab Class is a practicum that allows attendees to get hands-on practice in drawing blood samples, and use of supplies.  The Lab Class sessions require attendance once a week for 4 weeks.  This sessions are typically scheduled on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.  The next planned start date is January 31, 2012.

Prerequisites: Current healthcare background, graduates (or soon to be graduates) in a profession in which phlebotomy is allowed (RN, LPN, MA, MT, GN, PA, MD, medical students, etc.). Questions? 

NOTE: The In-Person Lab Class sessions are OPTIONAL for applicants that can provide proof of 25 venipunctures and 10 skin punctures performed at their place of employment.  The In-Person Lab Class sessions are required for Phlebotomy Certification Program attendees that cannot provide proof of performance of the required venipunctures and skin punctures to mee the NHA National Phlebotomy Certification Exam requirements.  In-Person Lab Class seating space is limited, early registration for this option is encouraged.

What to expect after you complete the online application and payment:

Immediate download file access: You will be directed to a download page to download two pdf files that contain the course syllabus and the education course checklist.  You will need a PDF reader program to view the files.  Adobe's Adobe Reader program is free and can be downloaded from: http://www.adobe.com . 

Emails sent by our automated system: You will receive a few emails- 1st to verify that we received your order, and next you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your invoice receipt.  The confirmation email will contain a link to the class access files that are also included on the download page immediately following completion of your payment. You will receive the email confirmation in most cases within a few minutes to 1 hour.  If there is a problem with the order or we need more information, we will contact you.

Upon receipt of your order: We review your program application and contact you in most cases within 24 hours or less (please allow up to 48 hours during busy registration periods).  Upon acceptance, we will set up your online class access and set up shipping to send out your course textbook.  The online class has an online Ebook version of the textbook available to utilize at all times during enrollment.  Program fees are non refundable upon application acceptance.  However, if an application to the Phlebotomy Certification Class program and/or the Phlebotomy In-Person Lab Class is denied, the  program fees will be refunded minus a $50.00 application processing fee (example if $365.00 total is paid, $315.00 is refunded).
